Finally finished !!!!!!!!

Hexagons

I have finally finished my hexagon blanket and love it. I ran out of wool when I was completing the edging. It was an old dye lot that the place I had purchased the yarn from no longer had. I managed to find it at my local yarn store, on a Saturday which turned out to be a very lucky Saturday (we also bought a house at auction!)...

Hexagon blanket

But back to the hexagons... It is just the perfect hexagon size for one person. It is colourful... together with the white edging the blanket sort of reminds me of the inside of a bee hive. The hexagons are also very warm ... and it makes me happy.

I will be back in a couple of days to share the Japanese book where the hexagon pattern is from.

  6. Hi Angela,

Thank you for visiting my blog. I think I may have heard about Kanga Kanga (perhaps on your blog!) and will try to go, it is not too far from where I work. I have really enjoyed your posts on your travels to Tokyo. Last time I thought about buying one of the Come Home books and will next time as well as visit some of the places you have suggested. Enjoy your amigurumi, I have yet to try it, but it looks like fun!
